How this site works

How this site works:

DIYcity operates along simple guidelines:

• a Challenge is periodically posted to the site, inviting people to build applications that solve some particular problem or improve city life in some particular way.
• anyone who wants can submit an app in Response to these challenges. You do so by a) conceiving and building an app, and b) submitting it via the Response Submission form.
• everyone can comment on either a Challenge or a Response.

That's it.

You can also start a group around a specific topic or a specific place if you want. Groups focused on places may want to host meetups where people can get together and trade ideas on ways to reinvent their surroundings.
