What do you think are the most pressing issues facing Paris right now, and where would you like DIYcity to begin its work?

What do you think are the areas in which the group could make the most impact there?

I suggest starting up the DIY Paris with a first phase of observation !

The Urban Mobs project is definitely not a Big Brother tool. So do not worry.
In fact, it could help citizens to face up to the most pressing issues :
- in which disctrict people have fun the latest Saturday night ?
- which way should I choose to drive across Paris ?
- in which bakery the queue is the shortest ?
and many other "real and daily" issues which could be resolved - partly - by Urban Mobs...

Feel free to add something and do your city !

Safety on Bus

Reverting form an App idea about tracking down criminal case in Washington DC.
It will be a good idea to build a database, feed by users and witness of places where gangs operates, such as which bus line has most frequent agressions, which street is relatively safe or unsafe at what time of the day.
The database should be open to user feedback, and be accessible by web/wap/sms.
Various way could be imagined to query teh database.
For example with SMS sending the name of a street and get back various info predifined by the user.
if you put the emphasis on safety,such as sage hours,rate of crime, closest police station you will send a query via sms with teh street name and it will send back a message with all predefined info.
If you put the emphasis on entertenment, then you have a message sent back to you with best bar, restaurant, taxis and so on.
The same could be done with traffic.

The database could be feed by user and public administration such as police department
