Hey NYers - I want to compile a list of projects using NYC MTA data out there.
There are Twittered service alerts, there's the Metro-North iPhone app. Is there anything else out there? Big or small? Betas? Student projects? Hacks?
If you know of something, please send it in. Can send on-list or off. (if off, send to "geraci" at "g" "mail" "dot" "com").
Thx
Re: What MTA-based apps are there out there?
By alinemarieI use OnNYTurf a lot - my fave map of the subway:http://www.onnyturf.com/subway/

MetropoliPhone
By med44I put together MetropoliPhone a year ago - a simple list of public transportation maps from cities worldwide for the iPhone and other mobile devices:

I have lots of MTA maps (sub, bus, LIRR, MetroNorth) as well as ferry, water taxi, NJT, PATH and bike path maps.

It's not using any data in any smart way, but it's still a convenient tool to just get the maps on your phone quickly (as long as you're above ground).
