"Street Sheets" Emergency Services Info via SMS/txt message
By reconfigurehttp://safelinkwireless.com offers free phones to those that meet low income levels. http://assurancewireless.com does as well but does not offer free text messaging.
"Street Sheets" Emergency Services Info (see http://streetsheets.re-configure.org) is now available through text messaging by sending "txtnyc" (space) "ss" to 368-638.
Perhaps this is something that people working at shelters, pantries, and various places that help with homelessness relief can find of value and perhaps share with those that could use the info.
It's hard to say how many (if any) people without housing own a mobile phone and have unlimited text messaging to access this info but it's an interesting resource to see what kind of potential it can have.
